I am so privileged to be a part of a tremendous prayer group that prays consistently for the Apostolate and our traveling relic programs. Due to the significant demand for the Relics of the Passion during the Jubilee Year of Mercy, we decided to engage as a group for a second time this year in St. Louis de Monfort's Total Consecration to Mary, especially since it ended on the great Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We all gathered at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA where we joined together for our final consecration prayer after confession, Holy Mass and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Father Seraphim Michalenko, MIC, Vice-Postulator for North America for the Canonization Cause of Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska joined us later in the day to do us the honor of blessing our program. I can't remember his specific words to quote him, but he blessed the program, all individuals that participate in presenting the events, all the individuals that will attend the program and all those that will view or venerate the relics. He also asked that God's mercy be conveyed to all those individuals via His Cross for special healing and conversions. He then topped it off by bringing out his image of the shroud. He shared such a fascinating story relating to the shroud and the original picture of the Divine Mercy. What a tremendous man and priest. He's definitely alive with joy and love for Christ.
What better way to begin our tour of the United States with these most precious and holy relics? Our inaugural event will take place at that same shrine on Saturday February 6 at 10:30 AM - a double blessing indeed!
